Writing a marketing CV is not as easy as you might think.
Even with the strong story telling skills that most marketing professionals possess, writing your own story (in a restricted space!) is a real challenge for many.
As Marketing Recruitment specialists, we see a wide variety of weird and wonderful marketing CV's. Here are our top tips for writing a really strong CV and a helpful template for our candidates to use.
Top Tips for a great Marketing CV:
- Keep it as a Word document.
PDF or other read only documents often aren't compatible with recruitment systems.
- Don't get too creative.
By all means show a little creative flair, but weird and wacky CV's don't always work the way you hope they will.
- One size does not fit all .
Highlight your strengths most relevant to the job.
- Leave the jargon at the door.
Keep the language clear and concise.
- It is not War and Peace
Try to limit your CV to a maximum of 2 pages. If you are a senior Marketing professional, you can choose to highlight your more recent, relevant experience.
