Our client is a well established food and ingredient supplier to businesses operating in the food industry. They have an excellent reputation in the food industry and continue to innovate and grow.

Due to ongoing growth, we are now recruiting an enthusiastic Telesales & Account Representative.

The role

  • You will work in a small team account managing a portfolio of food industry customers (caterers, wholesalers, Restaurants, Hotels etc).
  • You will forge strong relationships with your customer base and get to know their buying habits and the types of food ingredients they like to buy.
  • You will take inbound calls and orders from customers and use your knowledge of the products and the customer to advise and sell relevant food ingredients.
  • You will make outbound calls to customers to make them aware of latest discounts, offers and new products.
  • You will update internal order systems, liaise with field sales and keep them updated on customer activities and work closely with customer services to ensure client satisfaction on any account queries.

Skills & Experience

  • The ideal candidate will have previous sales, marketing or account management experience, ideally via the telephone.
  • The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to forge strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable with inbound and outbound sales.
  • The ideal candidate will be confident, self-motivated, a team player and enjoy driving their own success
  • The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and comfortable using computer systems including Word and Excel.
  • The ideal candidate will have work experience, or a personal interest in food.
