TYPE: PERMANENT, FULL TIME

SALARY: £25,000 - £30,000 p.a. + BONUS + BENEFITS


The Role

An exciting opportunity to join a global organisation producing revolutionary consumer focused products sold in leading retailers, supermarkets and online. The successful candidate will join a small UK HQ reporting to a Product Manager and liaising with global stakeholders. The role offers excellent scope for ongoing development to Product Manager level.

Duties & Responsibilities of an Assistant Product Category Manager:

  • Supporting the Product Manager (PM) in developing consumer focused product category plans and strategies

  • Supporting the development of pricing strategies

  • Sample product ordering and management

  • Supporting the creation of point of sale materials and sales presentation decks

  • Supporting the PM with new product development

  • Support with marketing communications, PR, advertising, promotional activities, social media and packaging design.

  • Liaising with global marketing team

  • Support with market and competitor analysis and reporting

  • Assist in managing the product marketing budgets

Skills & Experience required for an Assistant Product Category Manager:

  • Marketing, Business, or relevant degree

  • Previous marketing experience desired

  • Passion for identifying gaps in the market or opportunities for process improvements

  • Confidence in putting forward ideas at meetings and managing new concepts

  • Confident presenter

  • Strong communications skills liaising with global team members and retailers

  • Good analytical skills. Prior experience of market, product or competitor data analysis would be advantage - not essential

  • Passion for consumer products preferred - not essential

  • Versatile and keen to be involved in various tasks

  • Drive to continue developing marketing career in B2C environment

  • Enjoys a small team culture with exposure to global ops and teams

  • Strong organisational skills and able to spot areas for process improvements
