We are excited to be supporting our client to hire an experienced Head of Marketing on a 12 month FTC maternity cover.

Our client is an accredited not-for-profit organization supporting local people through their care and residential homes.

The successful Head of Marketing will oversee all marketing and promotional activities for locally owned properties including residential care homes, nursing care homes, respite, hospice, and residential living with the aim of increasing brand awareness and occupancy numbers.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HEAD OF MARKETING WILL INCLUDE:

  • Manage a marketing team of two including a Social Media and Internal Communications Specialist, working in partnership with the Business Development Manager and senior team in a small and friendly team environment.

  • Devising, developing, and implementing strategies for increased brand awareness and promotion of care home with the objective of increasing care home occupancy.

  • Managing (either directly or with support from the team) all promotional and content marketing projects including digital (web, social, email) and print (flyers, brochures, print advertising).

  • Working closely with the business development manager to drive deeper knowledge and insights of the target customer market and how to reach them.

  • Creating compelling messaging and content to drive enhanced knowledge and promotion of the care homes.

  • Enhance the customer journey online by recommending and implementing improvements as to how customers absorb key information online.

  • Managing external contributors such as freelancer and/or agencies.

THE IDEAL HEAD OF MARKETING WILL HAVE:

  • Demonstrable experience in a broad marketing lead role including brand awareness, promotion, content marketing, strong hands-on copywriting skills, and digital and print marketing.

  • A background marketing care home or similar industry preferred.

  • Enjoys a small team environment, able to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Management experience – Social Media and Communications Specialists

  • Commercial acumen – revenue generating marketing, providing input to wider commercial decision making with the senior team

  • Journalist or content marketing background desirable.

  • Seeking a 4 or 5 day working week in a fixed term contract – up to 12 months

  • Flexible for hybrid working – Home / Croydon

  • Flexible for only very occasional travel to the care homes in Croydon for marketing knowledge insights
