SALARY: £65,000 - £85,000 P.A.
My FTSE client is looking for a Sustainability Lead to deliver their social impact strategy and support their Sustainability Strategy. This is a key role and is newly created, allowing the successful candidate to drive, deliver and embed the programme to create a positive impact.
If you are passionate about sustainability with a solid understanding of ESG issues, are experienced managing key projects, ideally in a public company and are looking for a new exciting challenge and stretch opportunity, then this could be the role for you. This is a hybrid working role with either a Bristol or London office base with an expectation of 2 days a week in the office and a regular visit to Bristol (once a fortnight)
As a Sustainability Engagement Lead you will:
Work with Executive level on the delivery and implementation of the Sustainability Strategy with a particular focus on delivery of the social impact strategy.
Be responsible for the delivery of social impact initiatives acting as the programme manager to ensure effective and timely delivery of the programmes
Drive employee engagement on the wider sustainability agenda and assist in delivery of the customer engagement programme.
Maximise the social value of any partnerships and ensure these are strategically aligned with our other social impact activity and the business overall strategy.
Lead on the tracking and reporting of key social impact metrics
Be responsible for relevant social impact related policies and processes
The ideal Sustainability Engagement Lead will have:
Broad experience within a corporate or consultancy sustainability role with a focus on social impact issues gained in a commercial setting (investor or plc).
Experience of the built environment or a related sector useful.
A self-starter with solid project management experience
Ideally knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks, certifications, assurance process and frameworks
Capability to get the buy-in of a diverse range of stakeholders
Solid understanding of sustainability ESG issues in the investor landscape
Ability to lead a small team but work across the organisation with excellent networking skills both internally and externally
