National Account Manager

SECTOR: RETAIL - HEALTH & WELLNESS

LOCATION: HOMEBASED

TYPE: PERMANENT / FULL TIME

SALARY: £40,000 - £50,000 P.A. + BONUS + BENEFITS


An exciting opportunity to join a successful global organization with leading brand name products in the health and wellness sector.

Products are sold in Retailers such as Boots, Argos, Curry's, and Retail Pharmacies in addition to online via branded websites and online marketplaces such as Amazon.

Tasks

  • To manage and grow existing portfolio of products with Argos

  • Secure new business for a new health related product portfolio by identifying and growing new opportunities with retail pharmacies, gyms and general retailers.

  • Own the budget, promotions and plans for your portfolio.

  • Work with the marketing, brand and product category management team with becoming a category product expert yourself and discussing range reviews and new product launches

  • Manage insights and forecasts for the accounts in your portfolio

  • Input to pricing and managing P&L

  • Targets based on net turnover for account portfolio

Skills & Experience

  • Previous field sales, business development or national account management experience.

  • Experience promoting consumer B2C products. Experience selling health & wellness products or consumer electronics would be ideal but not essential.

  • Experience introducing new products and securing business in the retail pharmacy space preferred.

  • Experience identifying new sectors for healthcare or related consumer products such as Gyms.

  • Experience working with retailers such as Argos, Boots, Curry's or similar preferred.

  • Demonstrable numerical ability. You feel comfortable with reviewing sales data, creating reports and forecasts.

  • High level of commercial acumen and creativity. You will enjoy spotting trends and driving new business.

  • Combined new business development and account management/growth of existing accounts.

  • Excellent communication skills, you will enjoy working closely with retailers, and the internal marketing and product teams.

  • Motivated, self-driven attitude. You expect a good level of autonomy and flexibility to delivery great results.

  • You are able to manage your workload with little or no supervision (post training) and enjoy a high level of autonomy and opportunity to drive success.

  • You are seeking a permanent role to work with an established, global organisation with leading brands and omni-channel retail customers, offering the opportunity for ongoing development and progression.

  • You drive and able to travel nationally as required to your clients.

  • Experience of eCommerce and/or Amazon would be an advantage.

Remote - travel to customers as required

To circa £45,000 pa + car allowance & 25% bonus
