Head of growth: Job Summary:

As the Head of Growth, your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive the company's growth. You will work closely with the executive team, marketing team, product team, and other cross-functional stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, develop data-driven strategies, and implement scalable tactics to achieve business objectives. Your role will analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape to inform decision-making and optimise growth efforts.

  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with the executive team to define growth objectives, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop a comprehensive growth strategy aligned with the company's vision and goals.

  • Customer Acquisition: Lead efforts to drive customer acquisition through various channels, such as digital marketing, partnerships, referrals, and other growth initiatives. Identify target customer segments and develop strategies to reach and engage them effectively.

  • Conversion Optimisation: Analyse customer journey and conversion funnels to identify areas for improvement. Work closely with the product and marketing teams to optimise user experience, website design, messaging, and other factors that impact conversion rates.

  • Data Analysis: Utilise analytics tools and data-driven insights to track and evaluate key metrics, measure campaign performance, and identify growth opportunities. Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

  • Experimentation and Testing: Implement a culture of experimentation and A/B testing to continuously optimise growth strategies and tactics. Develop hypotheses, design experiments, and measure results to drive iterative improvements.

  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing growth team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Set clear goals and expectations, and regularly assess and develop the team's skills and capabilities.

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, engineering, and sales, to align growth initiatives with broader company objectives. Collaborate with external partners and vendors as necessary to support growth initiatives.

  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities. Conduct market research to identify new growth opportunities and provide recommendations based on insights gained.

REQUIREMENTS OF A head of growth:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in a senior growth or marketing role, preferably in a technology or startup environment.

  • Strong understanding of growth marketing strategies, channels, and tactics.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, utilising tools such as Google Analytics, CRM systems, and marketing automation platforms.

  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies.

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset.

  • Results-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
