SECTOR: TECHNOLOGY - FINTECH

LOCATION: HOMEBASED / LONDON

TYPE: PERMANENT, FULL TIME

SALARY: £70,000 - £80,000 P.A.


My client is a B2B fintech start-up / rapid scale up business shaking up the international payments arena.

As part of their exciting growth plans they are looking for a Communications and Brand leader to build the EMEA function from the ground up.

They are looking for someone who can work in a fast paced, international space and has a strong track record of driving the external communications strategy, building media / journalist relationships and developing the brand. This is integral role and an opportunity to make a huge impact and be part of an exciting growth journey.

The Role:

  • Own local and international media relationships creating a strong network of contacts at top-tier, national and trade publications

  • Manage PR agency and manage budget

  • Create and distribute compelling press releases and business updates

  • Securing regular coverage across online, print and broadcast media;

  • Set up necessary journalist interviews with key stakeholders

  • Press office duties and Main Media contact for the EMEA region:

  • Create and own comprehensive crisis management plan

  • Provide spokesperson/ media training for internal stakeholders when needed

  • Analyse engagement results across

Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years demonstrable communications experience in a B2B corporate environment within fintech/payments/ technology scale up

  • Experience of driving media relations activities, with strong working relationships with journalists ideally within national, international and fintech media arena

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - Experience of writing for different channels, content creation and editing

  • A flair for generating new ideas and driving change through new approaches

  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to transact at leadership level

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (desirable)

Location: Currently remote. In the future they are building a collaborative office culture and will be looking for 2/3 days per week in West End of London Office. There will be some European travel in the future
