SALARY: £50,000 - £60,000 P.A.
My client is a not for profit organisation that is well established and offers both B2B and B2C services. They have an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Communications & PR Manager, to come and further develop the function and a build a strategy for external and internal audiences. There is a small team to manage with this newly created position.

the responsibilities as a SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS AND PR MANAGER will include:
- To lead pro-active B2B and B2C PR for the brand and its suite of products and services. 
- Undertake PR activity and relationship-building with a view to generating maximum levels of coverage. 
- You will work with communications colleagues to deliver company news and content opportunities, 
- Manage a small team and utilise PR agencies for campaign and comms projects, maximising their potential and ROI. 
- Liaise closely across Marketing, HR and Corporate Affairs teams to inform and advise them on strategy, campaign planning/theming and alignment of messaging. 
- Lead on media crisis and issues management to minimise damage to reputation. 
- Provide internal communications consultancy, providing senior, strategic advice and channel access to those who need it whilst ensuring consistency of message. 
the ideal SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS AND PR MANAGER will HAVE:
- 5 years plus demonstrable experience within a Communications role including managing and mentoring a team. 
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at a senior level with ability to manage multiple stakeholders, both internal and external 
- Demonstrable knowledge of PR in both traditional and online/social media contexts 
- Ability to develop and manage strong working relationships with journalists across national, regional, trade, consumer and broadcast media with proven contact lists/existing relationships 
- Excellent creative skills and experience of developing and running successful internal communication campaigns 
- Good working knowledge for existing and emerging social media platforms
