  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as email open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI, to measure campaign effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.

  • Utilize A/B testing and other experimentation methods to improve campaign performance, including subject lines, content, CTAs, and landing pages.

  • Develop and maintain a lead scoring framework to identify and prioritize high-quality leads for sales conversion.

  • Collaborate with the marketing analytics team to analyze and interpret customer data, providing insights for audience segmentation, personalization, and targeted marketing initiatives.

  • Stay updated with the latest marketing automation trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies, and provide recommendations for incorporating new strategies and tools into the marketing automation workflow.

  • Train and educate marketing and sales teams on best practices for using marketing automation platforms, ensuring proper utilization and adherence to data management and privacy regulations.

REQUIREMENTS OF A marketing automation manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience in marketing automation, preferably in a managerial or leadership role.

  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms like Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot, or similar tools.

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics, focusing on lead generation, nurturing, and conversion.

  • Experience designing and executing successful email marketing campaigns, including copywriting and segmentation.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize marketing automation efforts.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, such as Salesforce, and the ability to integrate marketing automation platforms with CRM for seamless data flow.

  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS for email template customization is a plus.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
