Product Marketing Manager: Job Summary:

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the success of your company’s products by developing and executing effective marketing strategies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, sales, and marketing to ensure the successful launch and ongoing promotion of the company’s software/technology solutions.

Product Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies to drive awareness, adoption, and revenue growth for product solutions.

  • Collaborate closely with product management to understand product features, benefits, and target audience, and translate them into compelling messaging and positioning.

  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation to identify target markets, customer needs, and market trends.

  • Develop product messaging and positioning that effectively communicates the value proposition and differentiation of product solutions.

  • Create and deliver high-quality marketing collateral, including product presentations, sales enablement materials, whitepapers, case studies, and website content.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, content marketing, events, and webinars.

  • Work closely with the sales team to provide product training, develop sales tools, and support the sales process with relevant product information.

  • Conduct customer interviews and gather feedback to inform product roadmap and improvements, and communicate customer success stories to support sales and marketing efforts.

  • Monitor market and competitive landscape to identify new trends, opportunities, and potential threats to product offerings.

  • Analyse and report on key metrics, including product adoption, customer engagement, and revenue performance, to measure the success of product marketing initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS OF A PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications are a plus.

  • X years of experience in product marketing within the desired software/technology niche.

  • Strong understanding of software/technology products, with the ability to grasp technical concepts and translate them into compelling messaging.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing strategies that resulted in increased product adoption and revenue growth.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and recommendations.

  • Experience in market research, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis.

  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and digital marketing platforms.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
