As a Content Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic content initiatives to drive brand awareness, engage a target audience, and generate leads.

CONTENT Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy Development: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop a comprehensive content strategy that supports our overall marketing objectives. Identify target audience personas, conduct market research, and stay up-to-date with industry trends to ensure content relevance and effectiveness.

  • Content Creation: Generate engaging and high-quality content across various channels, including blog posts, articles, white papers, case studies, social media posts, email campaigns, videos, and more. Produce well-researched, informative, and persuasive content that drives audience engagement and promotes brand loyalty.

  • Editorial Calendar Management: Create and maintain an editorial calendar to plan, organize, and schedule content publication. Ensure timely content delivery and coordinate with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and external contributors to gather necessary inputs for content creation.

  • SEO Optimisation: Collaborate with the SEO team to optimize content for search engine visibility and rankings. Conduct keyword research, incorporate relevant keywords into content, and follow SEO best practices to enhance organic traffic and improve search performance.

  • Content Distribution and Promotion: Develop strategies to effectively distribute and promote content across various platforms, including social media channels, industry forums, guest blogging opportunities, and other relevant outlets. Monitor content performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations to optimize distribution efforts.

  • Content Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as product marketing, design, and sales, to gather insights and align content with business objectives. Collaborate with external agencies and freelance writers to ensure consistent quality and tone of voice across all content channels.

  • Content Analytics: Track and analyse content performance using relevant analytics tools. Provide regular reports on key metrics such as website traffic, engagement, conversion rates, and ROI. Use data-driven insights to refine content strategies and optimize future campaigns.

REQUIREMENTS OF A CONTENT MARKETING MANAGER:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field is ideal. Advanced degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience as a Content Marketing Manager or similar role, with a track record of successful content campaigns and demonstrated ROI.

  • Strong understanding of content marketing principles, SEO best practices, and digital marketing trends.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with an ability to adapt content to different target audiences and formats.

  • Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation tools.

  • Familiarity with SEO tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush) to measure content performance.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts.
